Our Master Waitlist is for families who know they want to welcome a future Bear Canyon Retriever puppy but are flexible on the specific litter and timing.

The first step is completing our puppy application. This helps us get to know your family and make sure a Bear Canyon puppy is the right fit for your home.

Once your application is approved, you will have the opportunity to join our Master Waitlist.

A $500 deposit secures your position on the list and is applied toward the total purchase price of your puppy.

Your position on the Master Waitlist is determined by the order deposits are received.
wait for the right litter
When puppies become available, we will begin at the top of our Master Waitlist and contact families in order.

You may move forward with that litter or choose to pass if the timing isn't right for your family.

Families may pass up to three available litters while keeping their place on the Master Waitlist. After three passes, declining the next available litter that meets your preferences will result in forfeiture of your Master Waitlist position and deposit. If your preferred sex is not available in a litter, it will not count as one of your three passes.

If you move forward, your reservation will transfer to that specific litter and you'll begin receiving puppy updates and important dates. If later you decide not to move forward with that litter, you will be returned to the bottom of the Master Waitlist.
Your Master Waitlist position is with Bear Canyon Retrievers, not a specific female, stud, pairing or litter.
CHOOSING YOUR PUPPY
Puppy selections take place around seven weeks of age, in reservation order for that specific litter.
Before selections begin, we'll share information about each puppy's personality and temperament to help guide you toward the best fit for your family.
Bear Canyon Retrievers reserves the right to retain first and/or second pick from any litter for our breeding program before pet home selections are made.

Pricing & deposit
Puppy Price: $3,500
Master Waitlist Deposit: $500
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your position on our Master Waitlist. Your deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of your puppy, leaving a remaining balance of $3,000 at the time of pick up/delivery.
Deposits are non-refundable if you change your mind, choose another breeder, or otherwise decide not to move forward with a Bear Canyon puppy.
If Bear Canyon Retrievers is ultimately unable to provide you with a puppy, your deposit will be refunded.
Please keep in mind that breeding timelines, successful pregnancies, litter size, and puppy availability cannot be guaranteed.
